Al Jurf, Abu Dhabi · in progress
A villa interior design and fit-out project at Al Jurf, Abu Dhabi. The design work shown here covers the master suite, which is planned as a single sequence — sleeping, dressing, a quiet seating corner and the ensuite — rather than as separate rooms.
The palette is deliberately narrow and warm. A plaster-panelled headboard wall runs the width of the bedroom, lit by twin globe pendants on slim drops, with round walnut drums serving as bedside tables. Full-height glazing behind sheer and linen curtains does the rest of the work; a floating oak console and backlit shelving keep the media wall from reading as furniture.
Travertine, a fluted green marble basin, oak and walnut joinery, and brushed bronze tapware. Soft finishes run to boucle seating, linen curtains and textured wool rugs; lighting is concealed behind mirrors and niches, with alabaster cylinder pendants over the vanity.
Joinery, wardrobes and upholstered furniture are produced in Arkenstone’s own 10,000 sq. ft. Dubai atelier, with no outsourcing. See inside the atelier.
