Dubai, UAE · completed 2024
A comprehensive turnkey fit-out for a private residence in Dubai, carried from an approved concept all the way to handover — one contract covering joinery, flooring, wall finishes, lighting and the loose furniture. The reception rooms do the talking: a men’s majlis in fluted panelling against book-matched stone, a women’s majlis built around a black marble wall with perimeter seating, and a dining room where a blossom chandelier hangs over ten seats. The private floor is quieter and warmer — a circular bed against a backlit curved headboard, framed-glass dressing rooms, a vanity set under a lit cove. Delivered to handover in February 2024.
Statuario marble used as artwork rather than surface — book-matched across the majlis and dining walls, and in black through the women’s majlis. Brushed brass carries the trims, the curved consoles and the shelving. Fluted and ribbed timber panelling softens the reception rooms; the private floor runs to pale oak flooring, framed glass joinery and upholstered headboard walls. LED profiles are concealed in coves and joinery throughout, so the light is always indirect.
Joinery, wardrobes and upholstered furniture are produced in Arkenstone’s own 10,000 sq. ft. Dubai atelier, with no outsourcing. See inside the atelier.
