Abu Dhabi · completed and handed over, 2026
A multi-discipline wellness studio in Abu Dhabi, designed and fitted out by Arkenstone from layout planning through to handover. Aerial yoga is the centre of the programme, joined by a reformer Pilates studio, a dance studio, a martial arts academy and a café lounge.
Each room has its own character but shares one vocabulary: arches, softened corners and textured plaster, lit from concealed reveals. The aerial yoga hall is the quietest — silk hammocks rigged over timber floors, sheer fabric swagged beneath the exposed services, and a backlit plaster disc as its focal wall. The dance studio pairs a barre with free-form timber mirrors and rounded, backlit storage niches; the martial arts academy trades softness for tatami and fluted upholstered padding set into arched recesses. In the café, a sculpted plaster banquette wraps around planted olive trees, facing a terrazzo-topped coffee counter.
Architectural glass and steel framing carry the fit-out; the surfaces are textured and sculpted plaster, timber flooring, tatami, terrazzo counters, fluted upholstery and copper accents. Lighting is mostly concealed — in arch reveals, niche backs and linear ceiling slots — with ring pendants over the academy floor.
Joinery, wardrobes and upholstered furniture are produced in Arkenstone’s own 10,000 sq. ft. Dubai atelier, with no outsourcing. See inside the atelier.
